No Direct Crossovers from Recreational Non-IYT Licenses to IYT Recreational Certifications
IYT Worldwide does not offer direct crossovers or
automatic conversions of non-IYT recreational boating licenses or certificates
to an IYT recreational certificate such as the Bareboat Skipper or recreational
Yachtmaster.
This applies even when the student already holds a boating,
skipper, captain or operator qualification issued by another organization or
national authority, including qualifications.
The student should proceed to an IYT Partner School to complete the applicable IYT course, including the required theory, practical
training, examinations and assessments.
10m Power International Certificate of Competency
(ICC) for Swedish NFB Förarintyg Certificate Holders
If a student holds a NFB Förarintyg (Inshore
Yachtmaster Diploma), NFB Båtpraktik dag (daytime practical training at a boat)
and NFB SRC (VHF) they are eligible for the MCA ICC 10m Power Coastal
certificate.
*ICC certificate fee applies, no extra ICC exam required.
NFB certificates must be valid and not expired.
24m Power and 24m Sail International Certificate of
Competency (ICC) for Swedish NFB Kustskepparintyg Certificate Holders
If a student holds a NFB Kustskepparintyg (Coastal Yachtmaster diploma), NFB Båtpraktik dag (daytime practical training
at a boat) and NFB SRC (VHF) they are eligible for the MCA ICC 24m Sail, 24m
Power Coastal certificate.
*ICC certificate fee applies, no extra ICC exam required.
NFB certificates must be valid and not expired.
ICC Inland CEVNI Endorsement for Swedish NFB
Certificate Holders
Students who hold the Swedish NFB Canal Diploma (NFB inland CEVNI certificate) are eligible to add the inland CEVNI endorsement
to their IYT ICC. No additional testing is required.
How to apply for the IYT ICC for Swedish NFB
Certificate Holders
To apply for a crossover from the Swedish NFB certificates
to IYT’s ICC, the student must send their documentation to one of following
schools only:
1. “Sjöskolan
Beckholmen School”
2. “Sjösportskolan Swedish Maritime Academy
School”
No other school has this ability.
IYT Master of Yachts (MOY) Certificate Crossover
Opportunities
IYT can only offer AMSA (Australian Maritime Safety
Authority) certification crossovers to our Small Powerboat & RIB Master and
Master of Yachts Limited licenses. Additional documentation is required for the
Master of Yachts Limited license.
Candidates wishing to crossover to IYT Worldwide's Master of
Yachts (MOY) from AMSA certifications must undergo a thorough assessment, with
all relevant documentation reviewed and submitted to IYT Worldwide for
certification by an Australian RTO school. Please click here to learn more.
If you hold the MCA OOW with a command endorsement license,
you may proceed directly to our Master of Yachts (MOY) Unlimited course, as
outlined in the link above.
To receive certification, you would need to enroll in and
complete the full Master of Yachts (MOY) course at one of IYT Worldwide's
Partner Schools.
